Indigenous belief systems and Eastern philosophies and religions understand that we are an intrinsic part of the living earth. A sense of emptiness can pervade our lives when we lose sight of this connection, causing pain and suffering when we attempt to treat this soul-level yearning with external fixes.

In “How to Love”, the late Zen Master Thich Nhat Hahn asks the question: How can I embody a larger story of what and who we are, and align ourselves and our actions with the well-being of the world? Let it Shine provides a space through which people can come together to uncover, express and nurture their unique expression of how to embody this larger story and find alignment with their unique purpose. We do this by offering experiences in the outlying Seattle area for people to come together to connect with self, each other, and the natural world.
